Vietnam Vet Chuck Searcy Works To Clean Up U.S. Bomb Legacy In Vietnam

Chuck Searcy

More than three decades after the war ended, cluster munitions, landmines and other explosive remnants of war remain a serious threat to many communities throughout Vietnam.

As he nears 70, Chuck Searcy continues his work with Project Renew: Restoring the Environment and Neutralizing the Effects of the War, an organisation which he helped to set up in 2001. Project Renew works to reduce the toll of the unexploded bombs still killing and maiming children and farmers.
